What is a DTS Report?

DTS means deemed to satisfy solution which is a solution which is deemed to satisfy the Performance Requirements of the BCA.

 

When you need a DTS report?

A DTS Report applies to Class 1 and Class 10 buildings as classified under the BCA, and applies to residential projects such as alterations and extensions, new dwellings, duplexes and townhouses.
Deemed-to-Satisfy (DTS) compliance can be achieved through meeting the BCA Elemental Provisions. Alternatively, residential projects are assessed via NatHERS thermal modelling, Performance Solution, Verification, or BASIX for NSW.

What should be accessed with DTS Report?

The assessment process is relatively simple but due to its inflexibility recommendations can be extreme and impractical. DTS Reports are most suitable for studios, bungalows, granny flats or out-buildings and small extensions.
